Kazakhstan Consulate-General opened in New York
NEW YORK. January 23. KAZINFORM /Aliya Altyngazina/ The Consulate-General of Kazakhstan has been opened in New York on Thursday. Heads of consular services of the countries accredited in the USA, heads of diplomatic missions of the CIS states to the UN, representatives of the US Department of State, business circles and Mayor's Office of New York took part in it.
Kazakh Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the USA Yerlan Idrissov announced that opening of the Consulate-General in New York, the capital of world business and finances, will promote further development of strategic partnership between our country and the USA, and expansion of Kazakhstan's presence in political, economic and cultural space of the USA.
He noted active interest of the American partners in the opening of the Consulate-General.
Kazakh Consul General in New York Raushan Yesbulatova expressed readiness to develop all spectrum of ties between our countries. New York is the largest center of the Kazakh Diaspora concentration - presently about 10,000 former and current compatriots live here.
