Kazakhstan considering supplying electricity to China
BEIJING. KAZINFORM - Beijing held October 29 the Kazakh-Chinese ministerial consultations and the 7th Meeting of the Subcommittee on Security Cooperation of the Kazakh-Chinese Cooperation Committee, reported AKI Press with reference to the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan.
Kazakh delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Askar Mussin, the Chinese - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Cheng Guoping. The parties discussed the preparation of the official visit of Prime Li Keqiang to Kazakhstan. The sides discussed the possibility for electricity supply from Kazakhstan to China and the organization of the Forum of Interregional Cooperation of Kazakhstan and China. The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman reiterated China's willingness to begin negotiations on the preparation of the Kazakh-Chinese intergovernmental agreement on water allocation in trans-boundary water resources in early 2015. Following the 7th meeting of the Subcommittee, the sides have signed the Protocol which reflects the priorities of the Kazakh-Chinese cooperation in the security field.
