Kazakhstan claims top spot at Asian Shooting Cup in Thailand

The Asian Rifle and Pistol Cup 2025 wrapped up in Bangkok. The Kazakhstani team took first place in the overall standings, collecting 12 gold, 9 silver, and 4 bronze medals, Kazinform News Agency cites the Kazakh Ministry of Tourism and Sports.

On the final day of the tournament, Kazakhstan's athletes triumphed with several impressive victories. Alexandra Le, Arina Altukhova, and Elizaveta Bezrukova secured gold in the 50m Rifle Mixed Team event. Alexandra Le also clinched gold in the 50m Rifle Individual event, while Elizaveta Bezrukova followed with silver in the same category. Additionally, Nikita Chiryukin claimed gold in the 25m Pistol event.

In the overall medal standings, Kazakhstan finished in the first place with 12 gold, 9 silver, and 4 bronze medals. South Korea followed in second with 7 gold, 4 silver, and 7 bronze medals, while Singapore rounded out the top three with 3 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze medals.

Athletes from 23 countries participated in the competition, with representatives from 16 nations earning medals.

As reported earlier, Kazakhstan's Mikhail Shaidorov has delivered a strong performance in the short program at the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships 2025 in Seoul, South Korea.
