Kazakhstan citizen tried to smuggle gold to Russia

ASTANA. January 6. KAZINFORM - The military border control "Zhayik" of the Ural frontier of Batys regional management the attempt of smuggling a large batch of gold was suppressed, the press-service of the Emergency Ministry reports.
Thus, the border guards at "Moscow- Almaty" train arrested a 33-year-old citizen of Kazakhstan, who tried to smuggle contraband cargo, about 2 pounds of jewelry.
Rings, earrings and bracelets were found during the inspection. Estimated value of gold jewelry is about 10 million tenge.
Investigation has been initiated.
