Kazakhstan celebrates Day of People's Unity
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Citizens of Kazakhstan celebrate one of the main holidays - the Day of People's Unity of Kazakhstan.
The holiday has been celebrated since 1996 when it was announced by the Decree of President of Kazakhstan. This holiday is the especially symbolic and favorite for the people of Kazakhstan where more than 100 ethnicities live.
This holiday is called to unite people of the country even more.
Celebratory events, theatrical performances, patriotic campaigns, shows, etc. are scheduled to be held all over the country.
Preserving interethnic and interreligious accord is one of the top priorities for Kazakhstan. The Assembly of People of Kazakhstan has been functioning in the country since 1995. The President of the country heads the Assembly.
