Kazakhstan can face global challenges: Astana mayor I. Tasmagambetov

Mayor of the Kazakh capital Imangali Tasmagambetov told journalists in Paris after the results of the voting were revealed.

"Our promotion of Astana as the host city of EXPO-2017 was crowned with success. Undoubtedly, it proves throughout the years of independence Kazakhstan has pursued a successful socioeconomic policy. This is a reflection of the fact Kazakhstan is able to host big international events. I think we have proved today we can face global challenges. I wholeheartedly congratulate all people of Kazakhstan on this victory," I. Tasmagambetov said.
