Kazakhstan boasts lowest unemployment rate in EEU
BISHKEK. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan has the lowest unemployment rate among the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), according to the figures released by the CIS interstate statistics committee.
The number of jobless people in Armenia and Kyrgyzstan is higher than the analogous rate in Kazakhstan and Belarus. According to official data, as of today Kazakhstan tops the rankings with 56,100 registered unemployed people (0.6% of the economically active population). Belarus is placed second among the EEU countries with 39,000 registered unemployed people (0.9% of the economically active population). Russia rounds out the top 3 with 1 million jobless people (1.3% of the economically active population). 59,300 unemployed people have been registered in Kyrgyzstan recently amounting to 2.4% of the economically active population. There are about 73,000 people in Armenia who have no job.
