Kazakhstan began exporting grain to China

ALMATY. December 5. KAZINFORM - JSC "NC" Food Contract Corporation "( Food Corporation ), which is part of national holding "KazAgro", started wheat exports to China under its contract with a Chinese state-owned company, the Kazakh company’s press service informs.

The first shipments were sent to China at the end of this November. The overall amount of grain to be exported by the Food Corporation to China via its largest grain trader is ten thousand tons by this yearend. It is slated to enter into further negotiations with the Chinese side to increase the volume of exports of Kazakh wheat right after the contract’s execution.

Wheat exports are carried out according to instructions of the head of state on the basis of agreements with the Chinese side on the delivery of Kazakh flour and grain to this country. The heads of Kazakhstan and China are known to have met in April and September this year to discuss issues of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, including grain export from our republic to China.

Grain is shipped from an authorized grain reception center of the Food Corporation in Akmola region.

According to the Food Corporation’s export plans, it is to export about 200 tons of grain by this yearend. Its main importers are China, Iran, Russia, Azerbaijan .
