Kazakhstan backs Kyrgyz authorities' efforts on political stability ensuring - Senate Speaker K. Mami

ASTANA. April 26. KAZINFORM Chairman of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament Kairat Mami has met today with Chairman of Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan Akhmatbek Keldibekov who arrived in Astana for participating in the II plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic-Speaking Countries (TURKPA), Kazinform refers to the press service of the Upper House.

The parties focused on further development of the Kazakh-Kyrgyz bilateral relations including the interparliamentary dialogue.

"Kyrgyzstan is an important strategic partner and friendly neighbor of Kazakhstan. Our country backs the efforts of the Kyrgyz officials on ensuring inter-political stability and development of national economy", K. Mami said.

According to him, the Kazakh side had set to development of an Interstate Program of rendering aid to Kyrgyzstan which was announced in the President's recent address to the nation.

As K. Mami stressed, regular contacts between the legislative bodies of both countries promote strengthening cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats. The parliamentarians of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan actively work within the interparliamentary assemblies of the CIS, EurAsEC and the CSTO.

Touching upon the activity of the TURKPA K. Mami thanked Kyrgyzstan for its contribution to the development of the organization established on the imitative of Kazakh Leader Nursultan Nazarbayev.

In turn, A. Keldibekov spoke for further enhancement of the Kazakh-Kyrgyz ties in all range of interstate relations. According to him, cooperation between the two parliaments hugely contributes to the deepening of multilateral interaction.
