Kazakhstan Art Week to be held in Astana

ASTANA. October 17. KAZINFORM - From 21 through 27 of October, for the very first time an international contest exhibition of modern art “Kazakhstan Art Week” will be held in Astana in halls of “Tauelsizdik Sarayi” (Palace of Independence), according to astana.kz.

The event will involve artists, graphics artists, photographers, folk craft masters, sculptors from countries of near and far abroad. It’s expected that masters from over 20 countries will arrive in the capital of Kazakhstan.

The event will unify four directions: international contests, fair exhibition, artistic conference and master classes, lectures and plein-air.

According to organizers, more than 500 authors from Kazakhstan and foreign countries will take part in the contest program. There will be convenient conditions for visitors to see art objects, evaluate them and make treaties with their authors. The conference will involve representatives of public organizations - unions and associations of artists, designers, photographers, directors of art galleries, salons and design studios, art historians, journalists and chief editors of magazines which cover issues of the world of art and art industry.

It’s worth noting that Kazakhstan Art Week traditionally includes a huge educational section in its program - master classes, lectures, creative meetings, where famous artists and art craft masters share their experience, knowledge and know-how. And famous painters, graphics artists, sculptors, photographers and artists, working in the sphere of arts and crafts, from Kazakhstan, Russia and CIS countries will present unique technologies, methods and ways of forms and inimitable colors creation for wide auditorium of visitors and participants of the Art Week.

Goals and objectives of the project include presentation of creative works by authors from the Republic of Kazakhstan, CIS countries and countries of far abroad, to wide audience, familiarization of residents with artistic works by foreign authors, and support of talented artists with disabilities.
