Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan Presidents opened Abai monument and new embassy building

TASHKENT. June 14. KAZINFORM In the afternoon there was an official opening ceremony of the monument to Abai Kunanbayev and a new embassy of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Uzbek President Islam Karimov participated in the event.

This confirms such an important event as the opening of the monument to the great Kazakh poet, thinker and humanist Abai Kunanbayev. He has made an invaluable contribution to the spiritual revival of the Turkic world. On the poetic world of Abai had an enormous influence creations of the great Uzbek poet Alisher Navoi, works of outstanding thinkers of the East - Ferdowsi, Nizami, Fuzuli. The monument to Abai Kunanbayev in Tashkent is at the intersection of Abay and Zulfiyahonum in Shaikhantakhur area designed by Kazakhstan's authors. The total height of the monument is 9.20 m, it is made of bronze.

The new building of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Uzbekistan is a three-storey building of a curved shape, which consists of three parts - the central and two lateral (left and right) with a width of 24 meters.
