Kazakhstan and Turkey to carry out joint projects worth USD 1 bln

ASTANA. October 13. KAZINFORM During the visit of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Turkey, businesses of the two countries signed 15 agreements on joint implementation of projects worth more than USD 1 billion, according to the press service of the National Agency for Export and Investment Kaznex Invest.

The documents were signed at a business forum with the participation of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul.

In particular, the Kazakh company "Alma Farm" and Abdi Ibrahim Turkey signed an agreement on the establishment of a pharmaceutical plant in Almaty region. JSC "Agromashholding" and LLP "CPC AUTO" signed a memorandum on cooperation in the production of automobiles, "first aid" devices for fire trucks, vehicles for garbage collection, cleaning machines. Defense enterprise "Kazakhstan Engineering" and the company Otocar agreed to cooperate in the field of assembly and production of military wheeled vehicles and off-road vehicles and their maintenance in Kazakhstan.

"In general, investment cooperation between Turkey and Kazakhstan may reach USD 3 billion. During the forum, which was held in May this year in Astana, and now at a business forum in Istanbul the countries signed agreements worth more than USD 2 billion," the press release reads.
