Kazakhstan and the Bahamas establish diplomatic ties

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan and the Bahamas established diplomatic ties on December 8, 2014, the Kazakh MFA's press service said.
The sides exchanged diplomatic notes following the results of the visit of Kazakh Ambassador to Canada Konstantin Zhigalov to Nassau on November 19-21. Foreign Affairs and Immigration Minister of the Bahamas Fred A.Mitchell and the Kazakh Ambassador expressed mutual interest in the development of bilateral cooperation in various fields, strengthening of a political dialogue and cooperation in the international arena to promote nuclear nonproliferation issues, energy security, human rights, interethnic and interfaith tolerance.
