According to Yerlan Zhetybayev, Official Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the eighth round of political consultations between Kazakh and Spanish foreign ministries will take place in Astana on June 16.

Deputy Foreign Minister Arman Issetov will represent Kazakhstan at the meeting. The Spanish delegation will be led by State Secretary for Foreign and Global Affairs Diego Martínez Belío.

"The consultations will focus a wide range of issues of Kazakh-Spanish cooperation, including the development of political dialogue, strengthening trade, economic, and investment ties, expanding cultural and humanitarian interaction, as well as pressing international and regional issues," Zhetybayev said at a briefing.

Alongside the political consultations, Astana will host the first session of the Kazakhstan-Spain Forum, which will bring together government officials, entrepreneurs, and experts from both countries.

"The Forum is expected to promote promising joint projects and expand cooperation in priority areas,” Zhetybayev noted.

The Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs hopes that the upcoming events will facilitate the launch of new joint initiatives and further development of the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Spain.

Earlier, Qazinform reported that Germany’s Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, Katherina Reiche, and Parliamentary State Secretary Stefan Rouenhoff are expected to pay a visit to Kazakhstan in June.
