Kazakhstan and Spain open a new chapter in military cooperation

ASTANA. June 11. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan and Spain have signed a memorandum in the sphere of military and military-technical cooperation.

The official signing ceremony took place in the Kazakh capital - Astana on Tuesday (June 11) following the bilateral negotiations between defense ministers Adilbek Dzhaksybekov of Kazakhstan and Pedro Morenés of Spain.

"We have debated the problems of international security, especially in the field of information exchange, and also touched upon the participation of Spanish military men in "Steppe Eagle" exercises that will be held this August," said Minister Dzhaksybekov of the meeting with his Spanish colleague.

"Spain is fully supportive of Kazakhstan in all its initiatives. Spain considers Kazakhstan its key partner in the region," noted P. Morenés after the signing ceremony.
