Kazakhstan and Russia to discuss Treaty on Good-Neighborly and Ally Relations
ASTANA. January 23. KAZINFORM Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs Yerlan Idrissov will meet with his Russian colleague Sergey Lavrov during the first official visit to Russia on January 24-25, Kazinform has learnt from the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
According to the authority, heads of foreign ministries are expected to discuss current situation of bilateral relations development, interaction in the integration structures and key issues of the international agenda.
Besides, a regular Kazakh-Russian Participatory Action Plan for 2013-2015 will be also on the agenda. Ministers will pay their attention to the issues of new basic Treaty on Good-Neighborly and Ally Relations between Kazakhstan and Russia, X Kazakh-Russian Interregional Cooperation Forum with the participation of the heads of states in Yekaterinburg.
In addition, Yerlan Idrissov and Sergey Lavrov will exchange their opinions on Eurasian integration issues, development of such integration unions as CIS, CSTO, SCO, international problems, in particular the situation in Syria, Afghanistan, the Middle East and North Africa.
Following the talks, an action plan for cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Russia and Kazakhstan for 2013 will be signed.
