Kazakhstan and Russia agreed to enact Customs Code on bilateral basis

ST.PETERSBURG. May 29. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Kazakhstan and Russia agreed to enact the Customs Code on bilateral basis. Russian Head of the Government Vladimir Putin made it public at the press conference upon the results of the session of the Customs Union supreme body.

Belarusian Prime Minister Sergey Sidorsky stayed away from the meeting in St. Petersburg. However, the Heads of Government of Kazakhstan and Russia discussed readiness for launching the second phase of the Customs Union beginning from July 1 this year and reaffirmed readiness for establishment of the Single Customs Territory.

The Prime Ministers of two states expressed hope that Belarus will join the achieved agreements as soon as possible.
