Kazakhstan and Lithuania planning to open transport link - Dalia Grybauskaite
ASTANA. October 6. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Kazakhstan and Lithuania are planning to open transport connection called "Saule". President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite made it public during the negotiations with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev on Thursday in Astana.
"We have heard a lot of decisions and support from your President of our bilateral relations, especially in the development of transport links. Between East and West Kazakhstan and Lithuania will play a very important role, and the opportunity to open the so-called "Sauel" transport link is very symbolic," Dalia Grybauskaite said.
According to the President of Lithuania, the opening of the transport connection will be important not only for Kazakhstan and Lithuania, but also for Europe, China and America. "Such projects are important at the geopolitical level," she concluded.
