Kazakhstan and Japan must join efforts to denuclearize world - Japanese FM Katsuya Okada

ASTANA. August 9. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Kazakhstan and Japan should cooperate in order to denuclearize the world.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Katsuya Okada has said it at the meeting with OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Secretary of State-Minister of Foreign of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev in Astana today.

"Kazakhstan, like no country, shares your pain, since more than one and half million of out compatriots suffered from forty-year nuclear tests", K. Saudabayev said.

In turn, Head of the Japanese Foreign Office thanked K. Saudabayev having noted that "atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 must become the last usage of the nuclear weapon against the mankind".

"We must join our efforts, forces and cooperate in order to make the world free of nuclear weapons", K. Okada resumed.
