Kazakhstan and International Organization for Migration keen on strengthening cooperation
First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akan Rakhmetullin, held a meeting with newly appointed Head of the UN Organization for Migration Mission in Kazakhstan and Coordinator for Central Asia, Serhan Aktoprak, Kazinform News Agency cites the press service of the Kazakh MFA.
At the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues concerning Kazakhstan’s interaction with the IOM, including such areas of cooperation as immigration and registration of foreign citizens, border control, and prevention of illegal migration, illegal transportation and exploitation of people.
The Kazakh Deputy Minister expressed gratitude to the representative of an international organization for active participation and support of the Almaty Process aimed at solving numerous migration problems in Central Asia.
