Kazakhstan and Germany discuss transport cooperation

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Berlin has held the VIII session of the Kazakh-German Intergovernmental Working Group on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of road transport including the establishment in 2014 of additional exchange of permissions, the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications reports. Note that as of June first 310 universal category permissions EURO 0 (among 500) have been issued to Kazakhstani carriers. Thus, the Kazakh carriers require additional German permission. In the light of the situation the parties agreed to consider the possibility of establishing an additional quota exchange in 2014 with 200 universal permits for vehicles which meet EURO 0 standards and 200 permits for transportation of cargo to (from) third countries.
