Kazakhstan and Congo sign agreement on cooperation in oil and gas industry

Kazakhstan and Congo signed a package of agreements as part of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Congo, Denis Sassou Nguesso, to Astana, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The parties signed the following documents:

An agreement between the Governments of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Congo on mutual visa exemption for the holders of diplomatic passports;

A memorandum on political consultations between the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Francophonie and Congolese Abroad;

A memorandum of mutual understanding between the Kazakh Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry and the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Digital Economy of the Republic of Congo;

A memorandum between the Kazakh Industry and Construction Ministry and Mining Industries and Geology Ministry of the Republic of Congo in the sphere of mining industry and geology;

A memorandum of mutual understanding on cooperation between the Kazakh Energy Ministry and the Energy Ministry of the Republic of Congo;

A memorandum of mutual understanding between the AIFC and the Economy and Finance Ministry of the Republic of Congo;

An agreement on cooperation between KazMunayGas National Company JSC and the National Petroleum Company of the Republic of Congo;

A memorandum of cooperation in the sphere of information and communication technologies between the National Information technologies JSC and the ARPCE state market regulator of the post and electronic communications of the Republic of Congo;

A memorandum of cooperation in the sphere of the Earth resources observation system between Kazakhstan Garysh Sapary and ARPCE state market regulator of the post and electronic communications of the Republic of Congo.

As earlier reported, President of the Republic of Congo Denis Sassou Nguesso arrived for an official visit to Kazakhstan at the invitation of the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
