Kazakhstan and China exchanged 5000 additional permit forms for motor transportation
ASTANA. November 15. KAZINFORM Negotiations with Chinese party resulted in exchanging 5000 permits for cargo transportation between the two countries, the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Transport and Communications reported.
According to Chairman of Transport Control Committee Bakhyt Abishev, "by the end of this week, the forms will be sent to regional transport inspections. Since Monday 19 November carriers will be able to obtain them".
Information on the number of forms sent to local inspections will be posted on the Ministry's website in the section: "Transport Control Committee" - "Issuance of Authorization Documents".
Note that currently, permits to perform motor carriages between Kazakhstan and China are of three types: type A - for regular carriages of passengers and baggage during one year; type B - for non-regular one-time carriage of passengers and baggage; type C - for one-time carriage of cargos.
Every year, Kazakhstan and China exchange 700 "A" permit forms, "B" - 1500 and "C" - 35000. The most popular with Kazakhstani carriers are the "C" forms for which the demand two times exceeds the offer.
By the way, Chinese cargo carriers annually use 4000 - 4500 forms in average for travel to Kazakhstan. Therefore, our Chinese colleagues do not increase the established quota so as to protect their carriers' interests.
