Kazakhstan and Bashkortostan debate industrial coop issues
Kazakh Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov met with visiting Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation Radiy Khabirov, Kazinform News Agency learnt from the Government’s press service.
During the meeting the sides debated measures for strengthening industrial cooperation between the regions of Kazakhstan and Bashkortostan, and cooperation in the sphere of agriculture, logistics, education and tourism in the context of further deepening of Kazakhstan-Russia cooperation.
Radiy Khabirov noted Russia is one of the key trade and economic partners of Kazakhstan. in 2022 the commodity turnover between the two countries reached 27 billion US dollars. For 11 months of 2023 the trade made 24 billion US dollars.
Smailov said Bashkortostan contributes to the development of Kazakhstan -Russia trade relations. Commodity turnover between Kazakhstan and Bashkortostan exceeded 350 million US dollars. He also expressed confidence the business forum and meeting of the working group for cooperation underway in Astana will give an impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation.
In his turn, Radiy Khabirov expressed interest in further deepening of industrial cooperation and development of trade.
