Kazakhstan and Austria discussed deepening of legal cooperation
ASTANA. April 23. KAZINFORM Kazakh Prosecutor General Askhat Daulbayev met with Secretary General of Ministry for Foreign and International Affairs of Austria Johannes Kirle within a visit to the Republic of Austria, the press service of the Kazakh Prosecutor's Office reported.
Perspectives of activating further cooperation in legal sphere were discussed at the meeting.
The Austrian side noted the visit of the Kazakh delegation is an important stage in further development of fruitful interaction and exchange of legal systems' development experience.
Special attention was paid to Kazakhstan's accession to the four Conventions of the Council of Europe in the sphere of legal proceeding. Askhat Daulbayev noted that Kazakhstan's legislation develops dynamically to meet the international standards in the sphere of human rights. In this context, Kazakhstan's accession to the European Conventions will work towards the realization of this goal.
J. Kirle greeted Daulbayev and informed that the Austrian side will chair the Council of Europe from November 2013 and intends to contribute to Kazakhstan's joining the afore mentioned Conventions.
Besides, Mr. Kirle suggested considering strengthening of bilateral cooperation by signing an agreement on mutual legal aid in criminal cases. Johannes Kirle expressed hope for further enhancement of bilateral interaction based on the principles of mutual confidence.
