Kazakhstan aims at more oil, gas production

ALMATY. October 7. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan plans to produce 130 million tons of oil and gas condensate in 2020, Vice Minister of Oil and Gas Lyazzat Kiinov said Thursday.

Speaking here at a conference, he recalled that his country has set the goals of producing 81 million tons of oil and gas condensate this year and raising the figure to 95 million in 2015.

According to Xinhua, in 2010, the production stood at 79.7 million tons.

This year, Kazakhstan plans to export 71.5 million tons of oil and import 7 million tons.

The expected oil-refining levels by domestic refineries are 13.7 million tons for 2011 and 17.5 million tons for 2015.
