Kazakhstan acceded to Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters
ASTANA. December 25. KAZINFORM - In Paris, at the headquarters of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), there took place the official signing ceremony of the Act of Accession of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters, the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan reports.
On behalf of the Government of Kazakhstan the ceremony was attended and the document was endorsed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the French Republic Nurlan Danenov.
Currently, 63 countries have joined the Convention. Its main aim is to combat avoidance and tax evasion at the international level. Countries assist each other by exchanging information, at the same time carrying out tax control, levying taxes payable, and etc.
According to the procedure, the Convention will enter into force three months after its approval. This will give the Republic of Kazakhstan the opportunity to systematize tax control for individuals and entities not only in the country but also abroad.
