Kazakhstan able to promote OSCE principles on migration issues: A. Keltchewsky
ASTANA. June 18. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ "Being the OSCE chairman Kazakhstan is able to promote the principles, values and commitments of the Organization including the issues of migration", Head of the OSCE Center in Astana Alexandre Keltchewsky said at the scientific-practical conference on the issues of migration processes in Kazakhstan and prospects of modernization of legislation in the field of migration held in the Senate.
"Today Kazakhstan is a recipient country for migrants from neighbor countries and a transit territory fro migrants to Russia and Europe. In this regard, the issue of effective migration policy taking into account the facts mentioned above, the consequences of the world financial and economic crisis and our Asian and Mediterranean partners are of special importance", Alexandre Keltchewsky said.
