«Kazakhstan 2050» Strategy: Ready to make worthy contribution to the development of the state's energy - «Bolashak» grant holder
BEIJING. December 6. KAZINFORM - Message of the President Nursultan Nazarbayev "Kazakhstan-2050 ''Strategy" pays special attention to education and training system needed to meet ever-increasing demands of our dynamic time.
"In order to make Kazakhstan a developed and competitive state we must become a highly educated nation", indicates Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Scholarship "Bolashak", established twenty years ago, aims at obtaining higher education abroad for further use of received knowledge and experience for the benefit of Kazakhstan.
Ayman Sagyndykova, the Presidential scholarship "Bolashak" fellow, gave an interview to our correspondent.
- In what industry would you like to work in the future? What role "Bolashak" scholarship played in your life?
- At the moment I am studying at the Shanghai Jiaotong University, one of the best higher education institutions in China. I think that Kazakhstan needs high technology transfer and training specialists for its use. I am intended to make a worthy contribution to the development of the energy industry in Kazakhstan based on new technology. "Bolashak" played a very important role in my life as owing to it I had a chance to get higher education in on of the best universities in China. I realized that every dream can become a reality if a persons aspires to it.
- Why did you choose China for education? What was the reason ?
- I choose China as the country is now rapidly developing. I wanted to see China from the inside. In the future I plan to continue examining China I believe that it will help me to contribute to the development of Kazakhstan.

As of 2013, fellows have the opportunity to study in the top 200 universities of 20 countries. China has selected nine leading universities including Shanghai Jiaotong University. Since 1994, 187 students have been awarded the scholarship to study in China. In general China is currently educating about 10 thousand Kazakh students.
