Kazakhstan 17th in IIHF Power Rankings

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has released its Power Rankings of 2015, Kazinform has learnt from Sports.kz.
After Canada's golden triumph in Prague at the 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship , it has topped the rankings followed by Russia (3 675 points) and Sweden (3 630 points).
Finland (3 575 points) and the U.S. (3 540 points) round out the top 5 of the rankings. Hosts of the world championship the Czech Republic are placed 6th with 3 495 points. Kazakhstan is ranked 17th with 2 680 points and neighbors Austria (2 745 points) and Italy (2 565 points).
