Kazakhs to invest $2 billion through 2014 in housing, utilities

ALMATY. May 27. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan plans to spend 300 billion tenge ($2 billion) through 2014 to upgrade its housing and utilities infrastructure.

The former Soviet republic will spend 60 billion tenge a year, including a total of 200 billion tenge from the national budget, Deputy Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov said during a Cabinet meeting today in the capital Astana. His comments were posted on the government?s Web site, Kazinform cites Bloomberg.
