Kazakhmys plans to raise precious metals production

ANA. October 5. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ Today at the Government's telephone conference Akim of Karaganda oblast Nurlan Nigmatullin informed of 9.6% cut of copper production due to carrying out planned work at the Zhezkazgan Copper-Smelting Plant.
Cutting production will be compensated by growth of other productions of Kazakhmys, including precious metals output.
Gold production is planned to be increased by 10.3% and silver - by almost 1.2%, he said.
According to him, production of sulfuric acid and coal will be raised significantly too.
