Kazakh virtuoso violinist to perform at the Newport Music Festival

WASHINGTON.  July 18. KAZINFORM On July 20, 2009 world famous violinist from Kazakhstan Marat Bisengaliev will perform at the Newport Music Festival together with renowned pianist Daniel Del Pino.

Described by The Times as "brilliant violin soloist", Marat Bisengaliev was a prize-winner in 1988 at the Leipzig International Bach Competition, and in 1991 won first prize at the International Nicanor Zabaleta Competition in Spain, also receiving the special virtuoso prize for the most outstanding performance of the competition. In 2000 he received the Independent "Platinum Tarlan" Award and the Government "Medal of Honor" in Kazakhstan. In 2008 he received "Man of the Year" people's award in Kazakhstan.  

According to its web-site, the Newport Music Festival will present 60 concerts-three to five per day-in the famous Newport Mansions with American and international artists. The Festival was again selected for "America's Elite 1000-the Ultimate List," the very best American luxury goods, shops, services and special events; it has also been named one of the "Top 50 Outstanding Festivals & Events" in North America by Leisure Group Travel magazine.  

Marat Bisengaliev, one of the Festival's biggest stars, is expected to deliver a stunning performance, including magnificent sonatas by Cesar Franck and Richard Strauss, traditionally impeccable piece by Karl Jenkins and "The Poem" by Kazakh composer Mukan Tulebayev.  

Bisengaliev has already given concerts in more than 25 countries with orchestras such as the English Chamber Orchestra, BBC Scottish, The Philarmonia, Polish Radio National Symphony Orchestra, Moscow Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland in some of the most prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, Barbican, Bridgewater Hall (Manchester), Waterfront (Belfast), Sheffield City Hall, the Last Nights of the Proms in Dublin and Leeds,  the press service of Kazakhstan Embassy in the USA reports.
