Kazakh-US agr't on scientific-technical cooperation signed
WASHINGTON. April 12. KAZINFORM. /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Within a working visit of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev to the Unites States of America the agreement on scientific-technical cooperation between the governments of Kazakhstan and the USA was signed.
From the Kazakh side it was signed by Deputy Foreign Minister Kairat Umarov, from the US side - by Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Robert Blake.
"Signing the agreement is another indication of the growing and consolidating strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and the USA", K. Umarov noted during the ceremony.
He also said that the document would enable to actively implement new scientific innovations and technologies in Kazakhstan.
The negotiations on this agreement have been held between the two states since 2003.
