Kazakh-Ukrainian duo advances to Hobart semis after opponents' walkover

Kazakhstan’s Anna Danilina paired with Ukrainian Nadiia Kichenok have eased into the semifinal of the WTA 250 Hobart International in Australia, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Danilina and Kichenok reached the semifinal after receiving a walkover from their quarterfinal opponents Argentinian Nadia Podoroska and Egyptian Mayar Sherif.
At the start of the tournament the Kazakh-Ukrainian duo stunned Pole Katarzyna Piter and Belarusian Lidziya Marozava in straight sets 7-5, 7-6.
The prize fund of the WTA 250 tournament exceeds $265,000.
