Kazakh, Turkish presidents laid foundation of new building of Yassawi University in Turkestan
TURKESTAN. May 24. KAZINFORM /Tatyana Pylayeva/ President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gül laid the foundation of a new building of the K. A. Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University in Turkestan.
The International Kazakh-Turkish University is one of the largest universities of Kazakhstan where over 21, 000 students are studying at present. Established by the efforts of two brotherly countries the university constantly expands its opportunities. Today the heads of state laid the foundation for construction of a new educational building for 1, 850 students with the area of 24, 827 sq m.
After then N. Nazarbayev and A. Gül visited a new administrative corps built at the expenses of Kazakhstan and Turkic Nations Museum.
