Kazakh Transport Minister sums up results of 5th Euro-Asian Transport Conference

The Minister noted that Kazakhstan, that is located in the middle of Eurasian continent, contributes to realization of the project on creation and functioning of a single Eurasian transport system. ?Within the framework of the Transport Strategy we modernize the national transport system?, he said. The Strategy includes reconstruction of six main international transit corridors passing through the territory of Kazakhstan, repair of roads, construction of multilane highways and etc. The Government takes measures on elimination of administrative barriers for business, simplification of the goods and transport vehicles? border crossing procedure. ?There were discussed the issues of strengthening of interstate cooperation in the transport sphere, development of national road networks as part of the international auto transport corridors, unification and harmonization of the legislation, improvement of transport infrastructure and etc. We have considered the progress of realization of the decisions and declarations adopted at the previous sessions of the transport ministers as well as the issues of use of international conventions in the field of auto transport and rules of free transit?, the Minister emphasized.
