Kazakh Transport and Communications Minister held meetings with German anchor companies' reps
BERLIN. June 19. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan delegation headed by Askar Zhumagaliev, the Minister of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan, on June 17-18 was visiting Germany with a working trip. The purpose of the visit was to discuss implementation of the Kazakh-German agreements as well as hands-on monitoring of actual joint projects.
The Minister held working sessions with the top management of "German Railways» (Deutsche Bahn AG) and a leading German information technology group called SAP AG. These companies are part of the leading "thirty" of the German economy and present in the DAX-30 index.
As part of the experience exchange in the field of advanced management solutions and innovation management in the logistics industry the Kazakh delegation visited the transport and logistics terminal of Duss, which is a subdivision of DB Schenker.
It should be noted that between the "German Railways" and the National Company "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" there is close and fruitful cooperation. The parties contact each other on a weekly basis when the container train of the DB Schenker company is sent to the territory of Kazakhstan from China's Chongqing to Duisburg of Germany. Considerable attention is also paid to the training and development of staff. The parties intend to continue and deepen collaboration in joint projects.
SAP AG Corporation is also interested in intensifying mutual activities with Kazakhstan and gradually increase its presence in the market of Kazakhstan and the Central Asian countries through the participation in projects to develop infrastructure on the basis of advanced know-how and innovative technologies.
