Kazakh tennis players suffer major fall in ATP Singles, Doubles Rankings

The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) has presented an updated list of athletes’ singles and doubles rankings, Kazinform News Agency cites Sports.kz.

Italian Jannik Sinner remained in the first place, followed by Germany’s Alexander Zverev and Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz ranked 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan dropped significantly 31 spots landing the 81st, following a disappointing performance at the ATP 500 tournament in Dubai, where he failed to defend points from his runner-up finish last year, losing in the first round.

Another Kazakhstani tennis player Alexander Shevchenko lost three spots securing the 98th line. Mikhail Kukushkin’s ranking suffered the most, dropping 27 lines to 166th. Timofey Skatov slipped one spot to the 182nd line.

In doubles, the top spot is shared by Marcelo Arevalo of El Salvador and Croatian Mate Pavic, with Britain’s Henry Patten ranking third.

Kazakhstani tennis player Aleksandr Nedovyesov dropped one spot to the 70th line, while Bublik moved up seven places to 129th.

As reported earlier, Kazakhstani tennis player Yulia Putintseva has significantly improved her position in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) doubles rankings.
