Kazakh tennis players crash out of US Open after first round

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan's tennis players Mikhail Kukushkin and Andrey Golubev have crashed out of the 2014 US Open after their respective first-round matches in New York, Kazinform has learnt from Vesti.kz.
The 15th seeded Fabio Fognini needed 1h 55min to send Andrey Golubev home. The Italian hit 6 aces and made only 2 double faults. Up next for him is Adrian Mannarino of France. As for Kukushkin, he succumbed to Jan-Lennard Struff from Germany in a five-set thriller 6:2, 6:3, 3:6, 3:6, 5:7. The 25-year-old German will play American John Isner in the second round match.
