Kazakh tennis player crashes out of Rakuten Japan Open Championships

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Tennis player Andrey Golubev of Kazakhstan has crashed out of the ATP's Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships in Tokyo, Kazinform has learned from Vesti.kz. The prize fund of the tournament is $1,3 million.

Golubev had to beat Jack Sock in order to earn quarterfinal berth at the tournament. However, the American athlete was stronger than the 27-year-old Golubev in three sets 6:3, 1:6, 7:5.

Andrey Golubev is currently world number 65 in the ATP rankings.
