Kazakh tennis player crashes Fernando Verdasco in Rome

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan's professional tennis player Andrey Golubev has advanced into the second round of the 2014 Rome Masters in Italy, Kazinform has learnt from Vesti.kz.
In the first round match the 26-year-old Golubev surprisingly outplayed world's №25 Fernando Verdasco in two straight sets 6:4, 7:5. Kazakhstani tennis player currently ranked 59th will face Mikhail Youzhny of Russia in the next round. If Golubev beats the Russian pro, he will clash with either Rafael Nadal or Gilles Simon.
