Kazakh surgeons to receive advanced training in Italy

ALMATY. July 7. KAZINFORM. /Yelena Ilyinskaya/ Kazakhstani cardiac surgeons - specialists of the Syzganov National Scientific Surgery Center - will go in Bergamo, Italy, to attend courses and training in the local surgery center.
The trip was arranged by the Association of Private Charity Funds including foundations of "Dara", "Ayala", "Chevron" and others. Due to the training of surgeons and purchase of necessary equipment it will become possible to operate on Kazakhstan's underweight children (less than 12kg).
According to President of "Dara" Fund A. Izbassarova, about 3,000 children with congenital heart disorders are born in Kazakhstan annually. Only 10-15% of them live to the age of 1 year.
