Kazakh Supreme Court reviews a million cases annually, Beknazarov

TANA. October 25. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ Chairman of the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan Bektas Beknazarov complained about the supreme body's heavy workload.

"People apply right to the Supreme Court achieving no justice at the local courts, therefore, the Supreme Court judges review a million cases a year," Beknazarov told at today's governmental meeting representing the Cabinet the draft law "On amendments to the Law of Kazakhstan "On judicial system and status of judges".

"The current structure of judges fails to meet the imperatives. It needs further improvement the Head of State told about at the fifth congress of Kazakhstani judges," he added.

The Government has approved the bill.
