Kazakh Senators met with Turkish Foreign Minister

ASTANA. February 12. KAZINFORM Deputies of the Kazakh Senate headed by Chairman of the House Kassym-Jomart Tokayev have met with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu today, Kazinform refers to the press service of the house.

K.Tokayev noted importance of the visit for further strengthening of the bilateral relations, stressing the importance of realization of the agreements achieved during the visit of Kazakh President N.Nazarbayev to Turkey in October, 2009.

Concerning the issues of activation of the interparliamentary cooperation the Kazakh Speaker spoke for activation of the dialogue within the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries.

According to K.Tokayev, the interaction in the field of promotion of the inter-civilization and global inter religious dialogue will enhance security and stability in the world. He also informed that Trans-Asian Parliamentary Forum "Eurasian Dimension of the OSCE" will be held in Astana in spring this year.

A.Davutoglu appreciated the successes of Kazakhstan achieved under the leadership of President N.Nazarbayev, and spoke for further strengthening of the bilateral contacts.

According to him, the interparliamentary contacts are one of the main directions of cooperation between states. "Friendship between parliamentarians of two countries plays an important role in strengthening of the cooperation between our countries", he said.
