Kazakh Senate OKs convention for avoidance of double taxation with Luxembourg

the Protocol between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg on the amendments to the Convention between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income and capital, signed in Astana on June 26, 2008".

Introducing the bill, Minister of Finance Bolat Zhamishev said the aim of the Convention is to strengthen and expand economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Luxembourg through creating favorable conditions for investments. The Protocol envisages the expansion of cooperation between the revenue authorities of the two countries via exchange of information.
