Kazakh Secretary of State and US Special Envoy to OIC discussed development of coop of USA with Islamic world
ASTANA. June 28. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Today Kazakh Secretary of State Kanat Saudabayev has received heads of a number of delegations, which participate in the 38th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers.
At the meeting with US Special Envoy to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Rashad Hussain the matters of strengthening of the Kazakh-American partnership as well as development of cooperation of the USA with the Muslim world were discussed.
"The fact that the USA is taking part in the 38th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers demonstrates great interest and will of the USA and, first of all, the Administration of the President Barack Obama to tune up a dialogue with the Muslim world," K.Saudabayev said.
At the meeting with Foreign Affairs Minister of the Palestinian National Authority Riyad Al-Maliki considered were the situation in the Middle East and ways of its peaceful settlement.
The topic of the meeting of the Secretary of State with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Brunei Darussalam Prince Mohamed Bolkiah was strengthening and expansion of cooperation of Kazakhstan with this country. The sides expressed confidence that the Kazakh President's visit at the invitation of Sultan of Brunei Darussalam Hassanal Bolkiah will open a new page in relations of the two countries.
