Kazakh Secretary of State and the Netherlands Ambassador discuss prospects for nuclear security summit in The Hague
ASTANA. October 31. KAZINFORM - Today Secretary of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Tazhin has received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Peyter van Leeuwen at the completion of his diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan, says the press -service of the President.
The sides noted the presence of similar positions in Kazakhstan and the Netherlands on many global issues of our time, which creates a solid foundation for effective communication.
During the meeting there took place a discussion of the prospects for a nuclear security summit on 24-25 March 2014 in The Hague, as well as the issue of participation of the Kazakh side in this international forum.
Mr.Tazhin welcomed the strengthening of the Kazakh-Dutch cooperation in the space sector. In addition, Kazakh Secretary of State expressed hope for active participation of Dutch companies in the organization of the international exhibition "EXPO - 2017" to be held in Astana on the following theme - " Energy for the future".
At the end of the meeting Mr.Tazhin thanked Peyter van Leeuwen for his personal contribution to the development of bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands.
