Kazakh scientists to study archives of Armenia's ancient manuscripts institute

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Kazakh Culture and Sport Minister Arystanbek Mukhamediuly and his Armenian counterpart Asmik Pogosyan agreed on cooperation in studying of Kipchak-Armenian documents and full access for Kazakhstani scientists to the archives of the Mesrop Mashtotz institute of ancient manuscripts of Armenia.

The Kazakh minister visited the Matenadaran, one of the largest repositories of ancient manuscripts of the world located in Yerevan. It contains medieval manuscripts and books which span a broad range of subjects, including history, philosophy, medicine, literature, art history and cosmography in Armenian and many other languages.
