Kazakh-Saudi Arabian bilateral coop perspectives considered in Jeddah

ASTANA. June 4. KAZINFORM Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Kairat Sarybay has met with his colleague in Saudi Arabia Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah within his working visit in Jeddah, the press service of the Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry reports.

During the meeting the Kazakh diplomat handed over a personal letter of the Kazakh President to King of Saudi Arabia Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Saud.

The sides expressed mutual satisfaction with the steady development of bilateral relations in various fields of cooperation and discussed the agenda for the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation in October in Riyadh, and also discussed the promising areas of bilateral relations and priority areas of cooperation.

In addition, the issues of active participation of Saudi assets in implementation of "green economy" concept and holding of the International exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana were discussed in details.

Deputy Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia confirmed the readiness of the country to strengthen the dynamics of bilateral contacts at the highest level as well.

Moreover, the Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister met with Vice-President of the Islamic Development Bank to discuss realization of such Kazakh President's initiatives as establishment of the Food Safety Institute under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation with the headquarters in Astana, perspectives of small and medium business support in the Islamic countries and the issues of support of the Islamic banking in Kazakhstan. The sides also paid great attention to the Islamic Development Bank regional programs' implementation.
